Really busy weekend. Thanks to Kev for coming out.
We started the night at GRAM

Then on to the Activesite event

I dont want to completely diss the art that was there, but it was not my thing at all. The building thing was dope though. Really old and had been vacated for 40 years or something.

good views. I love the top of the GRAM

Some dude was doing projections in a window down the street.

Then I hit up Nathan Mabie’s “Birds” Exhibit.

and became the proud owner of one of these:

The next day was record store day. So i stopped by Vertigo

And I bought this beauty

dinner at Greenwell

Then caught some of the Moss Folk show.

but, the gem of the weekend was my new Steelcase Leap Chair

Recently Wax Poetics re-released one of the most important Detroit jazz albums every produced. The Lyman Woodard Organizations – Saturday Night Special. You might be album to still pick up a copy (only 1500 were produced) at the Wax Poetics store.
I got my copy in the mail the other day and much to my delight I found it comes with a reproduction of the orginal promotional poster.

Seriously, I do not understand why everyone is so down on the Tropicana package redesign. I love it. But, I also love generic food product packaging.
