I picked up this bike a couple weeks ago as a commuter bike. I simply need to get around town, and this bike turned out to be perfect for that.

The flat black finish of the bike is the first thing that attracted me to it. But once I tried it out, I was sold.

In the sake of saving me some time, here is a list of what I like.

- Comes with sturdy front and back brakes that make the bike easy to stop even when pedaling at high speeds.

- Bontrager Race Lite non-puncture tires. I love them. I am a fan.

- Nice size crank that really gets the bike up to speed quickly. Not a difficult ride.

- I like the Bontrager saddle that came with it.

- Chain Guard. My shoes are clean.

Things I didnt like:

- The Weight. It could be lighter…but it is not bad at all.

- The handlebars are way to wide. Mountain bike style.

- This is just superficial, but not everything was flat black. I took care of that with some spray paint.

here it is when I first got it

then I sprayed parts flat black like this…

and of course, added some spoke cards. (notice I blacked out the hub and spokes)

As I mentioned I didnt like the really long handlebars that came with it, so I am trying some drops

If I like them better I will paint them flat black then wrap them.

Bottom line:

Great bike for commuting. Its not flashy, it has necessary items (brakes, chain guard), and the ability to switch to single speed.  It is also ready to go right out of the box, aside from the handlebars there really isnt anything that needs to be swapped out. Hop on and ride. Great commuter bike for the price.

I am working on a project, and I am not sure if I am at liberty to talk about, so I won’t mention specifics. I will say that I am stuck. I can’t get creative regarding this project, and of course, it is one that I need to do a real good job with.

So, 3 things for inspiration

1: Music: New inspiration Muxtape

2: Bike Riding to look at..

3: Nice architecture.

yeah, a cheap way to show of my new bike, but in all seriousness it helps me get creative. Just ride, think, listen to music, and get inspired by great design.
